The TSHD Geopotes 15 docked this noon for some repairs in 1 of the 2 bowtrusters (A steel cable was sucked into the bowtruster)

bow connection, for connecting the pipe or rainbowing

nice big bridge and a huge "fishbowl"

dredging head with the jetnozzles

serviceframe, make it possible that the suction pipe can run, the frame can supply anything like oil (for the gimballs or active visor), water (for the jetnozzles) and/or electricity for the underwater pump (if the ship has one)

crushing piece, makes it possible that the dredging head can break off the suction pipe if it gets struck behind something underwater (like a rock or wreck), the cable makes sure that the dredging head will not get lost.

gimball, makes it possible that the suction pipe can move horizontal and vertical

Thankyou,

After a lot of commotion about the Pieter Schelte her name Allseas decided to rename her to Pioneering Spirit (personally I liked the former name more, except from the history behind the name)

A small story behind the name that caused the commotion, she was named after Pieter Schelte Heerema, a former Waffen-SS officer who lived from 1908 till 1981

Today the former PH-110 Wiron 1 arrived after been layed up for almost 10 months in Stellendam waiting for a buyer.

Now she is back as the H-180 Altlantic Lady (homeport Hull), she will go for some trials and then maybe she will be sold.

the company logo is still on the funnel.

The SCH-6 Alida

The Barend Biesheuvel (coastguard) and the Atlantic lady.

tomorrow more pictures, tonight the FC-716999 Sandettie will arrive + the H-171 Cornelis Vrolijk Fzn will also arrive (hopefully not in the evening, this will be the first time ever that a ship from Cornelis Vrolijk will arrive at Scheveningen (an 80% of their fleet has as homeport Scheveningen)

2 hours ago I got a message for a person in the water at the north breakwaters, when I arrived at the scene it came clear that it was a surfer who was tired due to the stream.

a lot of units were send to the scene

Luckily the surfer did not had to be transported to a hospital.

Here i am again, the H-171 Cornelis Vrolijk Fzn left the harbor this afternoon heading for the fishing grounds, it was not the best weather but maybe it is the only time this vessel will dock in Scheveningen.

I see that you have a small helicopter for the camera (I don't know how it is called) Where did you buy it from and was it expensive?

It is called a drone,  I have bought is second hand.
It is quite expensive if you buy one new (The drone itself is not so expensive but al the other things on it).

Some of the products that makes him expensive:
Dji Phantom 2 €650
Gimball H3-3D €350
Gopro hero 3 black €378
Monitor around the €300

Total €1678

The champagne was smashed to the hull of the vessel

a toast to the new vessel

nice vessel to look at (in my opinion)
