I like the fact that 06 is "brighter" but 08 is better

And better graphics, you can actually control the ship at the helm with SS08, in 06 you cant use the onboard controls, which sucks...

There is too much to list why SS08 is better!

SS08 is more realistic than SS06, but SS06 was a bit brighter.

Especially for those who do not speak English as their native tongue (ie America, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Birmingham)

For my tuppence/deux Euro worth I would like to add that there isn't really a contest between 06 and 08. 08 is MUCH better, with more boats, environments (just a shame it doesn't have Dover - Calais in the same environment but then neither does 06)

I can't see why people keep mentioning that 06 was brighter- 08 IS darker, but more realistic looking for it.
