My main Boat
Hibernia:
Two 6V batteries that power the whole boat, rather than one 12V Battery to power just the engine (A 12V Would blow the lights), two 6V's can power the lot. This includes, Bow Thruster engine/servo, Main Engine, Rudder Servo, Speed Controller's (Bow Thrust, Main), horn, And a working lights system.
There are also two fuses, one for the Bow Thruster, one for the engine....Should any pressure be put on either, the fuse will simply blow....So's not to give any bother to the engine/shaft.
As I mentioned, she also has a full working lights system...I only ever switch them on at the local show, though. Otherwise, it wastes battery!
Fred (The Builder of Hibernia) has been building boats since he was a lad, and he built Hibernia very very well indeed....Everything has been planned and thought about, e.g. there is and emergency access hatch to the Servo/Rudder at the stern, which is coated with a red lining, which acts as a waterproof, as well as allowing you to be able to cut it open, if access is needed. It can then just be replaced.
She was built roughly 4 years ago now, from plans and photo's of the real ship. She's a lovely boat, Proud to own her
Won't be too long till the local show at the castle...Will be bringing Hibernia with me to put on our Fleetwood Stand
