UTC+3 is Moscow time, right? That would be 7 hours ahead of Montreal. So 19:00 Montreal would mean 02:00. We'll try to make it work during weekends, at an earlier time for you. 15:00 your time would be 8:00 my time, which is a lot more reasonable for both of us :)

So I am in Finland and we use EEST (Eastern European Summer Time) at the moment, so um somewhere 06:00-19:00 in your time would be fine for me on the weekends.

Sorry for the double post. I just wanted to let you know I set a test server up. I would like you to try it out. It will be running for the next 24 hours. If it works, I will then be able to run a server 24/7.

You won't find the server on the list though. You need to enter manually the following information:

Host name: Server is now offline
Port: Server is now offline

Let me know if it works or if you need help!

P-S I managed to join a server with 5 people so I know it is still possible to play multiplayer :D

Great! From now on, I will put my servers here: http://forum.shipsim.com/index.php/topic,19854.msg405689.html#new

The Host Name may change every few days and I will keep it updated on the link above, so make sure to check from time to time :)

Not much to moderate anymore, it seems. Do you still play SS?

Hi Gab,
Yes I still have a go with all three games. Mostly doing missions which I find more to my liking. not too keen on multiplayer as there tend, or used to be, a lot of folks just fooling about.

I keep an eye on this forum every now and again. I’m currently only got a Mac so I can’t play SS any more.

You can use PlayOnMac to still run SSE on your Mac. See https://www.playonmac.com/en/

I did not know that - I’ll have to give it a go? How stable is it?

In stead of PlayOnMac, I use PlayOnLinux. Installing SSE is very easy in PlayOnLinux.

What do you think of naval war games like World of Warships, War Thunder and Naval Armada: Fleet Battle? They are no true ship simulators like Ship Simulator, or Virtual Sailor/Vehicle Simulator by HangSim. But shooter games in stead in which you have to destroy enemy ships for fun, in order to earn points and to be able to play with more ships when you reach higher levels by destroying enemy ships.

I think around at different demographics and different market and more aimed at casual users who don’t have a interest in shipping. I remember seeing on mutli player years back there was some people wishing sse was closer to these games.

Looks like some still visit this place once in a long while, for the sake of visiting it.

Obviously there isn't much activity anymore, but if the timing is right you can still find a multiplayer partner ;)
