but i like it more when more people have this ferry pack..
I dont like sailing a ferry alone in NY.. I want it to be busy with other ferries operating..
That would be fun!

I think it will get busy in a week (after april 5th)

Oh dear...

is there anyway to do it so realistic speeds/times are achieved?

You'd need a log (like the distance gauge in a car) for that. Than you could do some simple math

Btw, how did the dead reckoning go during the Dover-Calais transit you tried?  ;D

Haven't actually tried it yet

I will have to do it...

Hmm could you work the distance out by keeping at a (near) constant velocity, straight line course, then using speed = distance/time or would the performance issues effect it?

Ah yeah you should do that

I do think the dover calais is a bit shorter..
I once went with the POR at 22kts
i arrived in 40 mins!

when i once on a clear sunny day went on seafrance berlioz and we did 23 kts  but we did aprox 80 mins
(yes its faster because the captain speeded up halfway through the crossing

Quite unrealistic. Also the engines tend to give up at them speeds when loaded
