I have changed my mind - its now Newhaven-Dieppe in the same enivronment  :doh:

I think my channel Islands project would have been a bit too big - 100 odd kms square is slightly more then Freds recommended 10x10

But how much coastline would you actually have to design? Most part of the 100 km2 would be water anyway  :)

nowhere near as easy as Dover-Calais, can't just do a straight line course

I know that  - I wrote the guide

but its a even more curvy course - having to miss the islands and the shallow areas/rocks etc

Channel islands

its like i said about 132 km length and 123 km width
i think i remember pm tfm about that its too big!
its the dover to calais doubled in length



so newhaven is a really good one
