Silence, WM. That's the sort of thing that drives people away from the forum.

I agree with Capt. Matt, Shane's a good guy when you get to know him. At times, I have felt driven away too.

I meant that such kind of long explanation/apology text would be perfectly needed from me as well.
Besides Shane can't stop now from leaving & name changing.  It's a disease - believe me, I experienced it on myself & I know how it's like!  :-X
But you're right, McG, we clearly don't need any new shipfan55's here, because only he deserves to have a record of number of farewells/comebacks because "everyone was unfair to him".

More than some of my posts were unfair, rude, and arrogant, and I think that no one likes that. People had to show me who I was turning into before it was too late...
Some members' who were here when I joined but no longer are here anymore had that same attitude I was developing, and that is what led to their "dismissal" from being a forum member. I'd like to make it clear that I wasn't banned, for those of you who might think that for what I said. But after I realized I could very easily have been. Not for doing anything illegal, or hateful, just getting off on the wrong foot with people. Some people weren't quite pleased with my attitude and I was afraid of loosing some very close friends, and I think it's better to show you guys who I really am rather than to try to let my own delusions turn myself into someone else. There's been a confusion and I'd like to apologize.

I guess at that time you were turning into me. The sarcasm in our posts started to be very alike when it was pointed towards some members.  Besides, we were like supporting each other at some moments...
No wonder, such situation here when more & more inexperienced people & those who are "qualified members" for 2 or more years are coming from all sides to ask questions which were answered in the "topic above this one in the list", complain like "If FSX has it, why SS can't?", post pointless polls topics because they were bored at that time & call someone an idiot + in Caps - all that just kinda helps to develop such strong & hurtful sarcasm that one would be even afraid to implement it in real life conversations.
Glad you decided to be yourself.       I'll miss you as my assistant though.

From memory I think mint boots quite well from USB memory stick, if you have an external hard drive you can configure just about any Linux distro to boot from that.

In fact IIRC I think windows will boot from an external drive.
