Hi Fast_Ferry, and welcome.

Thanks for the offer, but I can only use buoys that are in environments in Ship Simulator. I've got nowhere to stick them otherwise. (No rude comments!  )

Oh well, we can scratch Bala Lake, North Wales off the list of environments for SS2010...

But Dover isn't in SS2008...  ::)

I don't supoose you may want buoys from say...? Calais...? (Starts praying for a yes...)

I hope the developers will understand that the lights of those buoys have visibility of tens of kilometers in the night.
In Shipsim 2008 you can see buoys-lights about 300 meters away...

The developer responsible for the buoyage system understands that very well. Trust me.  ;)

What about speedlimits in narrow and welltrafficked waters? In the port for example...

Which buoys do you have Marc? If needed, i can look up the latitude and longitude of the buoys! Maybe we can also make a list of buoys we already have, then we know on which buoys we still need to focus us  ;D

O.K.
I am not sure if you are familiar to the area.
I took the red/green on the Breediep, and than i went to 4580(close to Rozenburg).Next to the Steinweg, you a small parking spot on the side of the river Maas.
These are not bouy's in that area, however some posts(standaards) green color.
I hope this helps a bit, however i can send them to you to.Send you're Emailadres to me and i help you further with alot of pleasure.

Hi Marc and Ballast.

Many thanks, chaps.

Yes, I am still collecting images (especially) and general data for buoys in any of the Ship Sim environments.

Do you both have accounts on Creators Forum? If so, send me your account names in a PM and I will switch on access to the buoyage areas for you. Then you can see which ones I don't have.

If you don't have an account, please create one and let me know. Then I will switch on that access for you.

I am off to the Netherlands tomorrow for a few days (Bussum area), but should be able to set things up for you.

I think you both have my email address if you want to send me any images, don't you?

Thanks

I'm going to open up the buoyage area on Creators Forum so that mission creators can see exactly where the buoys are located, and so that they can see all of the photos and data that has been collected about each buoy.

Although you can't use the models that people such as Fred have created (excellent models, incidentally), you can at least place the "built-in" AI buoys into the correct locations.

That will add to the realism of the game, I think.
