It's incredible how many hulls start of life as one thing and end up as something different.

I'm currently sailing on a cruise ship which started life as a container ship.  Makes for some interesting wedging of bits of machinery into place.

Also how the USNS Mercy used to be an oil tanker and is now a hospital ship. :doh:

I can see the logic though. an oil tanker has lots of room to work with.
same with containerships.
at the end of the day its still better than being sent to the scrapyard.

This supply ship didn't run into some bad luck, it's a new design built by Ulstein Yards.

Yep, like titanic... started as a ship and now a very deep tourist attraction.

PCs are so much better. It may take seven macs to run a yacht, but it takes only one PC to run a ULCC.
