Hello!

Thank you freeciv! Thank you for support.

Goodles: Well, it is nice to know that you have been on a MSC Magnifica, that is wonderful ship, i'm dreaming to have a cruise on it... you are so lucky!

Well, you probably couldn't find it because the same reason as i am thinking. That part of ships is just for crew, the relaxing zone for crew where they are spending some time when they can. So the entrance on these section of the ships is on the "crew decks" and to get into that jacuzzi you need to enter the door on wich says with the red letters "for crew members only".  ;)
So you are probably not allowed to get there.

But if mr.robvill include that on M/v Oceana, on wich we will be the captains, we will be allowed to go there and enjoy in these jacuzzi.  ;)

Hey, if you have some nice photos of MSC Magnifica you can send them on my PM, i'm always interested in cruise ships & cruises!  ;)

Many kind regards.

Hi guys,

I wasn't saying you were spamming Mitch, or that is was a bad idea. I just though from my own perspective that the ship might not benefit from a pool at the bow.

However you have demonstrated that it is used on other cruise ships, so, I would say that the idea is perfectly valid, providing Mr Robville is prepared to add it.

Anyway, back on topic guys! :)

Hello.

Captain Spencer, don't feel wrong about, my apology wasn't because of these reason, it is because i know i went to far with these suggestion, and then we all started to talk about, and i made you go out of topic.

Well, that was just my suggestions, mr.robvill is the naval architect, he is the professional, so he will know what to do, so it is on him.

Anyway, back on topic guys! :)

Agree.

Kind regards.

good morning everyone  :o

did someone order a jacuzzi?

ofcourse it's inevitable to add a windshield aswell.  ;)

and on rough seas it is indeed better to lock down the 2 tubs, aswell for the restaurant's terrace.
thanks a lot for your feedback all!

btw, it seems you can walk on orient stars boatdeck, how can you get there?

EDIT

terrace railing added

did someone order a jacuzzi?

:2thumbs: That is a good one! I did, and thanks for completing my wish!

Well you had a question? How to get on a boat deck of Ocean Star ).

Well you can go there, but that is a BUG.

Here are some steps:

1: Go on the back point of Ocean Star.
2: On the edge, where is the fence.
3: Walk & walk on the fence till you fall down.

I need to go now, i'l explain you more details later!

Kind regards.

thanks!

all final details are added to the bow, i realigned the deckcranes, placed a large spare anchor, added a radar, sidelights and added some frames to the superstructure's balconie.
also the deck has been changed as the part where passengers are not allowed now has bare plating, this distincts the crew area from the passenger area a little better.

shouldn't be any problem, this ship is slightly bigger then QM2, and the QM2 fits into rotterdam port.

Is she taller than the QM2 because she just barley fits under the Verrazanos Narrows bridge in New York Harbor.

Orient Star drags her keel though getting into Rotterdam in SSE though...  :-\

You may need VSTEP to get the dredger out...

Hello!

freeciv, You can find all the details on the page: 12

Here is the answer on your question:

YES! M/S Oceana is taller than Queen Mary 2.

Queen Mary 2 height owerall: 72 meters

Oceana height owerall: 75.6 meters

So, yes it is, it is 3.6 meter taller.

But you can be calm!

The M/S Oceana WILL pass under Verrazanos Narrows bridge in New York Harbor, so there is no space for panic.

It looks like mr.robvil thought about everything! The Queen Mary 2 was designed with a flatter funnel to pass under the bridge, and has 3.96 meters of clearance under the bridge during high tide. So 3.96 meters, that is 75.96 ( 75.9 ) and M/S Oceana is 75.6 meters high owerall!

So, it will be close, but i think M/S Oceana will pass with 3 centimeters under the bridge... INTERSTING!

So here is the answer on your question, and my opinion...

Thumbs up, and hope it will pass!

Many kind regards.
Capt. Mitch

Your assumming that V-Step got the bridge clearance correct and you forgot that suspention bridges have a curve to them!!
It'll be close!  :o  :o

They have Curves correct, so thatr means that the suspessions are having little weight on them.

I really hope this ship will make it into SSE i think Vstep has already Took Great Pride in your work.

Shes is really starting to remind me of the Fictional 2006 Poseidon i think its the colors and the Bow Superstructure, very nice work i cant wait to see the bridge

It looks like it!

However, I'm not very fond of the "window" textures he is using.

hello all,

the mast of the oceana is pretty high, so i might make it shorter or retractile.

i agree about the windows, the detail is pretty low compared to the rest of the ship, so i made a few changes.

i changed the texture, and added some 3d framework instead of the flat textured version.
i also might change the window texture to a more hi-res one.
