I am more than happy to disclose that I do meet all requirements to become a Moderator and that my purpose of becoming a Moderator is to promote the education of nautical sciences while interacting in a professional matter in the best interest of the game and end user.

I have currently, as an avid promoter of other such simulators such as Microsoft's Flight Simulator I have quickly risen up the ranks with special promotions from Microsoft Corporation in the task of Air Traffic Controller for the Microsoft Flight Simulator Online Community.

As an avid player of simulations I am now directing my attention to Ship Simulator in my services of becoming a Moderator which as this avid player I am happy to report I have made numurous unsolicited friends in my network within Ship Simulator and have had no complaints.

My belief is that all persons shall benefit from the gracious providings of Ship Simulator which has been so generously provided to the public which I shall continue to promote and envy as I do respect the time and energy it takes to produce, and shall remember the golden rule that " Our Business Is Fun ".

My intentions of posting it to the public is to establish public confirmation for everyone to participate in, for allowing me to become a Moderator.

I feel if I were to become a Moderator it will be what the people and end users want, and not just an internal decision. I want everyone to participate in your personal views of who shall become their Moderator.

Yes. I agree. However, before I started this topic I had allready informed Wout of my offerings to Ship Simulator as Moderator, excluding other offers which I can provide to Ship Simulator.

Other intentions of starting this topic is to provide a 'good example' of what requesting to become a moderator should look like, while allowing other users to participate in the decision of who's to become their best friend on Ship Simulator, as it takes happy users to establish a happy environment in which to participate in.

Dear mvsmith,

Due to legal reasons, and as stated by my current PassPort, I must disclose the truth that I am of the country of Canada. Otherwise would be a lie. Hope you have a better understanding of my decision to choose the flag of canada. No matter where I reside, as I do travel alot.

Also, if need be I shall put forth the 2000 euros to continue my pleasure of Ship Simulator, "Where there's a will, there's a way".

educating people in nautical science isn't what being a moderator is about. Being a moderator (since i'm one myself) is mostly about taking care of the forum, watching for bad posts and helping members when needed.

I would like to make it clear to all that I do not, nor do I intend to own a pirated copy of Ship Simulator Professional. I am trying to obtain a legal copy of Ship Simulator Professional, along with the design Code to aid in the development and creation of a better product. I must investigate all aspects of Ship Simulator first and have a better understanding of how the program and community auctually works before I can provide assistance to the product.

This is the basis of my request to become a Moderator.

Thank You for your input as Global Moderator. Let me now choose you as Global Moderator and accept your response as the final descision of denial in my request of being a Moderator. However, I hope perhaps in the future you will find me an asset to the Ship Simulator community.

It is always an internal decision. The rest of the staff and VSTEP decide who become a moderator, just for your information.

A good example, would have meant that this topic would not exsist, as the guidelines are clear on the procedures. I bet 99% of the people here would like to be a moderator, but if everyone would go about applying for it openly, the forum would clutter up with their requests, wouldn't you agree?

It was a shame that when I pointed out that us moderators don't get the source code to all of Vstep's programs, the level of interest subsided so drastically.

Hehe.. nah Terry, I just ignored the guidelines and won the favor of the community, after which VSTEP just could not deny me. They even gave me the source code. But they told me it was just for me, as I was such a modest guy.

I think that if people realised the huge amount of work that goes on behind the scenes by Moderators and also some of the very respected members of this forum (CMMs and others), they might not be so keen to apply.

Also if they realised the level of abuse we suffer, they might think twice.

This is like a second job for me. I know others put similar if not greater amounts of time into the forum.
