Okay DJM i apologise for my irrational behaviour. If i were to act like that around other seamen they'd be quite deeply angered....REMOVED

That kind of language is completely unacceptable, this issue will be reported, DJM.

No problem, we do understand that there are differences of opinion and cultural differences on the forums.  We do like to prevent these kind of differences escalating into anything more serious :)

Hi ship simmers,

There is already an addon with classic ships. It's named: Ship Simulator 2008 - Elbe en Furie Editie.
It's only in Dutch and it's available on http://www.zeesleperelbe.nl (http://www.zeesleperelbe.nl)
You cab install it as an addon, but also as a stand-alone sim.

The Elbe is a 1959 build tug. And the Furie is a steam-tug build in 1916.

Well the add-on pack for SS08 only includes 2 more ships  :-[

I sure hope they continue to add more ships, as there are not that many in the sim so far. I would just like to see a whole range of boats that will entice lots of people. Small wooden and fibreglass to large fishing trawlers and speed boats.

I want the more older, stronger, beautifully crafted boats. Not the plastic you see about today. As i say, "older boats were built when men, were men" although everyone has their own opinion on this.
