Where are the classics???
« on: July 12, 2007, 11:17:01 »

I never bought ship sim 2006 nor the add-on pack but I have seen videos and screenshots of the classic cruiser. Will this be put into the patch for September?

I would really love to see some more wooden classic boats in ship sim as I think many more people would love to see some. What do you think? I hope Vstep will consider adding the classic cruiser to the patch they release in September.

Plus I can't wait for sinking!!  ;D

All of the SS06 boats will come into SS08. Some of them are already in SS08, but not all yet.

Well, I wasnt that much of a fan of those small and slow boats, so I don't really care if they dont add more than those from the add-on. I prefer small and fast and large and "slow" :)

Well the add-on pack for SS08 only includes 2 more ships  :-[

I sure hope they continue to add more ships, as there are not that many in the sim so far. I would just like to see a whole range of boats that will entice lots of people. Small wooden and fibreglass to large fishing trawlers and speed boats.

Am I right in saying that the patch for SS06 will be converted to SS08?

Can a MOD confirm this or not? I will buy the add-on pack if this is the case.

Hello Captain Spencer!  :)

If you by patch mean add-on then yes. The add-on for SS2006 will be converted to SS2008 and all owners of the SS2006 add-on will be able to download the conversion for free.

Take a look at the FAQ:
http://www.shipsim.com/ShipSimForum/index.php/topic,955.0.html

-Add-on
The Add-on for the 2006 game version will be updated for 2008 in Q4 of this year. All owners of the addon can update their add-on  for free for 2008 at that moment.

Why what's wrong with October? That's pretty near only two months. Anyway we've got two new ships coming in the patch so that will keep everyone busy!

May I ask what you are implying by that comment? Clearly judging by your username you are only 16, however I am a man of maturity so I obviously know better than you.  :) I used to be a removed faring man myself, I spent many a rough night at sea! So I think I would understand more on this topic than any of you here  ;)

Ok, I think this has gone far enough.  If I may, maturity is not based on how much older you are than someone else, it's based on life experience.

Please show respect to other forum members, no matter what age they are, thanks :)
