Hi guys. I'm going out to NYC for a few days on the boat. Since I'm pretty shallow draft, I can get pretty close to almost everything. If you'd like, Terry, PM me a list of the main items you'd like, and I'll try to get the pictures, and gps coordinates. Otherwise, I'll be snapping pictures of every No Wake buoy in existence, and the wife will kill me. Talk to everyone later.....

It was drifting in the gulf of Cadiz. Captain grabbed the oppertunity for a MOB drill and let the crew practise a Williamson turn. We pulled it on deck to hand it over to the authorities, but the buoy doenst have any characteristics. Who knows where it comes from!

I guess "out of the sea" is the only answer. Good idea for the MOB drill!

Hi Terry,

I have several pictures of buoys in the Solent outside Portsmouth harbour.  If you are interested I will send them to you.  I was on one of QHM's pilot boats checking the positions of the buoys and snapped a few pictures.

hi there
why not to add a Single Point mooring (Monobouy)?
they are used to load and unload motor tankers with crude oil and refined products
it would give a great misson on game
i am a tugboat master at leixoes monobouy (portugal)

Hi all,

I was reading this thread and thought how easy it would be to get better details, like Lat & Longs for the area's needed by using a simple App on a smartphone.

I use Navionics UK & Holland App from my Android Galaxy SII and the details on there would be spot on for your needs, as it gives Lat & Longs, along with detials of the bouy or marker on a chart.

Hope this helps out?

Let me know.

Hello Terry and the rest of you on developments.
It would be much more fun and I am sure you could do more eveighets mission, though it did have its own fleet and we sailed to ports where loading and unloaded ships. And a major update of crane simulator ship simulator could make it a more global game. And even hear with rights to use DFDS ship Maersk and other shipping in the game. Add more European ports such gothenburg skandia terminal now owned by APM terminals.

Hi guys, is that project still alive? Long time no post here. Happy to share some thoughts about more realistic beaconing and buoyining in the game. Although I've no idea how to program that stuff I would very much like to give some input in how that works in "real life" in my home base area here in Hamburg.
