That question was a bit too easy, but what I wanted to do i wasn't sure that I had the right answer.

Pier 54 was not built FOR a famous ship. It was the last place Lusitania stopped before its final voyage. Some erroneously associate it with Titanic, though Titanic lacked even the furthest relationship with the pier. Titanic was to dock at Pier 59. Pier 54 has "White Star" on it because it's "Cunard White Star" after the merger of the two companies somewhere around the Great Depression.

Yeah that's right. It's caused by an occasional glitch when you come out of the atlantic and then free roam the solent. Makes for some interesting mooring! :thumbs:
