16 - 8 each side... or do you mean how many individual ropes including spares?

That's like asking how many rivets. (which as we all know is 347.530)

CRIPES!! i have a book with that. it lists everything that was on board. but its in school. i have an idea. lets dedicate every day from now till April 15 2:30 am to the RMS TITANIC. what do you think? *Nearer My God To Thee plays in backround* ;D
