Maritiem:
I'm working for Jumbo Shipping and was involved in development of our game as well.

The cargo that must be loaded in the Rotterdam harbour mission is a vacuumtower,
part of it can be seen on the first picture in this thread.  It's an item we have transported before on our ships and was available in autocad/3dmax at the time. I'll see if I can get a picture when walking on deck (with the cargo), that's something different.
The object of the mission is to berth alongside a barge which has the cargo on it. When that's done the cargo will be magically transfer to the ships deck. So no, you can't control the cranes.

It sounds brilliant, I also was going to ask the same question as maritiem.

Jack.

Hi Eggy, this has already been asked and answered in the same topic ! For now, you can't get it. It might be available one day in the shipyard, but this hasn't been planned for now.

From what I know, this ship will be released as a stand-alone version of Ship Sim, it's a special command from Jumbo Shipping.

I don’t see the coffee maker. No coffee, no deal. I can’t hack that Dutch gin.

They must have a coffee maker somewhere on that ship, it's like a standard equipment on ships

Coffeemaker; it was left out as the bridge (in fact the whole ship) was already very very detailed. It is located next to the sink.

Dutch gin; in the old days when the ships were made of wood and man of steel it was the next best thing, nowadays with all these regulations and the steel ships ...  ;D

Hi Nico,
Was it not the introduction of the gyrocompass that brought about the switch to coffee?

Maritiem; another picture. Forgot to take the screenshots but still had this one on my harddisk.

Jumbo Javelin is departing just after loading the vacuumtower on deck, check out capt. Bluebeard's picture of the real thing a couple of messages earlier on this page.
