Speed of the vessel is upto 18knots but with the current fuel prices you really don't want to do that last knot.

The Mission for the Javelin only allows for loading the cargo onto the ship.
I don't think multiplayer is supported as the ship isn't available in the regular ShipSim2008 version.

It's not avalaible for our SS08 yet.

VSTEP made a custom SS08 version for Jumbo Shipping, with one of their ships in it.

The vessel might be released to us aswell, but as I understand it, at present, no concrete information is available on what, when, how, etc... So we'll have to wait and see.

If VSTEP decides what to do and when, we'll all surely hear about it in an announcement right here on the forum.

I hope that answers the "when are we getting this?" side of things.  :)

Fred

Then may I be the first (in this sense) to say I really hope we get this ship soon. :)

Why don't you just combine those 3 post into one firestar?

Cranes won't be working even on this ship?!  :o :o :o :o :o :o Then that's not interesting for me anymore!  >:( >:( >:( :'(.  I think we have to wait for ~ Ship Simulator 2010, or 2015, or even 2020 to have all working things in this game!  ;)

firestar12: sorry no videos

foyen: this one isn't for you anyway and who know's what vstep is planning for the next release.
I think if we can sail the Jumbo Javelin in ShipSim2008 it would already be a big step ahead, such a shame the year 2009 is only 3 months away.

Remember, the name of the game is SHIP simulator.

I think the ship is great!
And I don't care about the cranes not working, do you play a lot with the crane?

its far away like SS06.

You should look at the SS08 Features and SS0 Features,

SS08 is no way like SS06

But imagine for example, you're playin on this ship, approaching the harbour, docking, loading/unloading heavy cargo with cranes (like loading containers with help of the crane in one of the missions), then you're ready to leave the harbour....  I think it's more realistic & interesting than just sailing & docking.  Who knows, if, for example, during the loading operation your ship will be overloaded, it'll capsize right near the dock - just like in real life....

FOYEN,
The question of working cranes on vessels has been beaten to death before. Parroting the same suggestions made by others will not make it more likely that they will be implemented. Firestar put it bluntly, but he has a good point.
There are much more important features for VSTEP to concentrate on at this point.
