Hi everyone,

I was just wondering, who here also has Virtual Sailor? its just i bought it recently and wanted to know who had it so we could play on VS MP?

AND don't worry everyone, i can assure you, i come on SS as much as i did before i got Virtual Sailor

I got it too, but also hardly play it.

It just doesn't feel right to me. Only a few top notch addons are good to play around with a bit, but most of the (user created) content is just plain bad, and I am a harbor kind of guy, so VS just also doesn't deliver for me when it comes to ports and such, not like SS08.

I have it too, every time i play it i enjoy it for 5 minutes, then it becomes boring and unrealistic. Although steering into New York Harbour with the QM2 is quite fun, until some idiot comes and shoots you

I haw it to, but it's 4 mounts or so sins i played it, boring, SS are 10000% better. I haw even deleted it from my PC and it shall not back

I have VS too, and I agree with Fred and llamalord, the environments are very bad.

So I don't play it often...

When did VS7 come out? It says 2006 in the game... and i have the latest version... So its been awhile since they've released a new patch..

I've heard something about development of VS8?

VS 08 is probably correct, James. I'm pretty sure a new release is coming soon.

To reply to the rest of you,

people say VS is bad, but, there a lots of nice vessel's people have created, and great environments! you just have to search through the rubbish to find good stuff, almost like a junk yard, in a sence. Take a look at these fantastic vessels:

Orca from JAWS:

The Atlas, Trawler. (The picture does not do it justice, its amazing in the game, these pictures are from the download site)

Shark Hunter (This vessel is amazingly detailed):

The Wyre Vangaurd (one of the best trawlers in the game, especially because of external detail):

kaylana, Trawler (fantastic detail, mainly externally)

Jean Jaures (This is probably one of the best little trawlers in the game, amazing detail inside and out, remember, all this is user created)

There are lots more good vessel's, so there is an even balance between good and bad, you just have to search, that was only a fraction of the fantastic vessel's out there.

Nearly all of the enviroments are dreadful, the Pamama Canal scenery is advertised to have "Realistic depths taken from real charts" which is a lie, since when has the Panama canal been 960m deep

SS2008 is far far better in my opinion.

yea. are u beeing on settings. the sea could be nice.

im gonna make a video. i have recorded. but now im gonna edit it. so you will see the result.

but SS is better,
but Vs isnt bad though
