Containerloading
« on: August 10, 2008, 09:18:43 »

To me the speed of movements of the crane are unrealistic, too fast.
This causes untolerable swinging of the load.
Is there a way to correct this, f.i. make the movements of the crane slower?

Hi ages221,
No, you just need to learn to control the crane through practice. Raise the load higher before you travel a long distance.

Gentlemen,
Somewhere there was a post complaining that the crane drifted slowly backward—away from the ship. This actually allows you to position accurately in that direction.

If you have not done so, you can download INFO1.pdf from here:

http://www.shipsim.com/ShipSimForum/index.php/topic,2886.0.html (http://www.shipsim.com/ShipSimForum/index.php/topic,2886.0.html)

That document has instructions for the crane.

Although the supplied basic container-loading tutorial mission has only four containers, missions an be made with up to 10 containers—the maximum that Vermaas can accept.
There are other missions that involve the container crane, with more containers. Creators usually use a small number lest the players find it too difficult.

More information on crane missions can be found in the Mission Editor Tutorial that you can download from the same post as INFO1.pdf.
Regards,
Marty

You need to register your licence key for shipsim game on the forum. If you click on profile at the top there is a bit to enter your licence key. That should give you access to most of the forum

Enter both if you want but you only really need to enter one.
