Loading containers!!
« on: July 16, 2007, 17:04:26 »

 ::) Hello there,
I am enjoying Ship Sim 2008, but have found a problem with the first container activity in the missions. I successfully can load on the first, third and fourth containers, but when I try to place the second container, the program doesn't record that I have placed it, even though it is where the arrow points. If I carry on playing, when I clear the last container, it still says that there is one more to move.
Is this a bug in that mission, or am I doing something wrong? Incidentally, I've tried placing the container on either side of where the arrow points, but that doesn't work either.
Any help regarding this would be very much appreciated.
Stuart.

It's a bug, put it within the black box (ontop of the other container) and it should be registered.

You have to put it inside the 'ghost' box, even if there's no container below.

I found the same with the loading of the containership so I gave up and left the berth anyway, as I was well away from the quay I looked round from the bridge wing view and 2 containers were floating in mid air just where I had loaded them.

very strange and annoying.

Just let go of the container when it is in the dark frame and it should be registered.

Is that the 3rd or the 4th container? The problem is with the 3rd container. It has to be dropped "in the air" because the dark frame is floating one container unit above the spot where it would be natural to put the container.

Hope that helps!

If you drop it and it doesn't register, you can pick it up and try again, worked for me at least...

Don't worry all. The patch comes out Aug 17!
