A ship turned over my cargo ship!

I was sailling, in mission 002, when A *say's bad word* ship came, hit my ship, and turned it over, then it conitinued sailing like nothing happend! did anybody have this kind of *say's bad word again* accident?

Hi andrewthebestes,

No need for bad words, even if you censor them yourself. If you have to go to the trouble of writing a replacement phrase for it, it's probably wise not to refer to it at all. 

Anyway, the AI does not really act intelligently at all. They are just on a path and continue on their way. So you must anticipate and try to stay clear of them.

However, in patch 1.4.2 an improvement was made that makes them less kamikaze-like. Do you run the latest version of the game??

yes. i have tried this mission and got the same problem. but why not slow down with the throttle and look before you turning it.

Well, don't forget that you have a map that diplays the pictures of your ship and the ships around you. What I found useful, is that I wait at a position before I enter the main channel of the harbour. I look on the map to see if a ship is comming. I wait for it to pass and then I move on with the mission.

In SS06 they even slowed down for you if you crossed their path *Say's Good Word* but, what ever happened to that.

Yes, I was thinking that in SS06, the ships slowed down, but it's been a long time since I've played it.   Hey andrewthebestes, go to the ShipSim site and make sure you have all the patches for SS06.
