Using Zmodelar in ss06 and ss08
« on: July 16, 2007, 16:27:48 »

Howdy-I have got both ss06 demos and am currently using the taxi boat in rotterdam, cos I managed to switch the two.

I would go on and ask: 'So can i do the same in ss08 with use ss06 boats?', but I know this is entirly unplausable as demos files are (normally) compiled compltley different from the full versions, and anyway no doubt Vstep have thought of this, so the method I used would be absolutly moot.

BUT I am a (crap) Zmodelar and have created vehicle add-ons for the game Midtown Madness 2 and many other games which do accept later patches. I admit I am not the best  ;D, in fact Ive never even read all of Zmodelars manuel, but my extremly low poly models run a dream! :D. Anyway, is it possible to use z3d files or an equivalent format in ss, or does ss use multiple files, as the demos do? I am aware that this could be against the games license conditions.

Thanks, and I understand if I dont get a happy answer as what I just asked could well be copyright infringment for the game.

Thanks, Sky.

the new functions in zmodeler 2 is that you can import and export files from newer games, zmod2 also has a better engine, (means that you can import more bigger and larger files withoud crashing the program)
and a lot of bugs are fixed, butr so far i still work with zmod 1  ;)

ooooohhh  :o :o :o :o

Well, none of us can do that at the moment. If you made a search you would quickly find out that the SDK have not been released yet and that you cannot import ship models into the game, only static objects. :P
