It would be great if there was a Roll on Roll off car carrier such as Wallenius Wilhelmsen's Tarago or her sisters

I think the paddle steamer Waverley would make an interesting addition to the line up ...

The paddle steamer Waverley would make a very interesting and most challenging addition in a Ship Simulator game as she does not have bow rudder or even bow thrusters. Just good old-fashioned seamanship to keep your wits around the seaways.

I want to see more different kind of ships. I mean we have already a Containership and a Tanker, in the Addon is a midsize Bulker. These are all modern ships. I want to see ships from the history of seatravel.

-Freightships from the 1940´s to the 60´s (like the "Cap San Diego" in Hamburg)
-older Passangerships the S.S. United States or the S.S. France
-Steamships and Tugs
-old coaster Cargoships (they look like stretched Fisherboats)

but I am happy about every new Ship in the simulator.

SS Nomadic
RMS Olympic, "Old Reliable"
RMS Lusitania
RMS Majestic
RMS Carpathia
Steam tug boats

I love the classic ocean liners, they are so beautifull!
They are what you can call a real ship.  ;)

Yes, it would also be great to have her fleet mates PS Kingswear Castle and (the ex Red Funnel ferry) Balmoral  included too...
http://www.waverleyandbalmoral.co.uk/balmoral/articles07/rye/index.htm

Waverley in particular is very famous having called at almost every pier/ harbour in the UK and her addition to the game would no doubt boost the sales of Shipsim in the UK. She would be a offer unique challenges to the sim in that being a paddle steamer she has completely different handling abilites from the modern vessels.

Perhaps for passenger ships/ferries such as Waverley a "keep to the timetable" style mission could be developed and included?

There is now a fantastic virtual tour of Waverley online at
http://www.billward.org/pages_wav/waverly.html

Also be sure to look at
http://www.billward.org/pages_ferry/map/map_ferry.html
and
http://www.billward.org/pages_waterbus/index_waterbus.html
and
http://www.billward.org/pages_kenil/start_kenil.html

to see why, Waverley's homeground in Scotland, the Firth of Clyde would be an ideal area to include in shipsim, in a relatively small area there are 11 different ferry routes including passenger & car ferries, waterbuses, a large seacat, a container terminal, a nuclear submarine base, tiny villages, towns, cities, victorian style piers, ferry terminals, fishing ports, drydocks etc

Sounds interesting, hope someone will make one to use in SS08.  :)

Today I was surfing the internet and searched for Lusitania 3D, and I found an interesting web page with pictures of a 3D model of Lusitania. It was made in the 3DS Max.

Here is a link to the web page: http://www.alae.us/Lusitania/Render001.htm (http://www.alae.us/Lusitania/Render001.htm)
It would have been interesting to get this model into SS08....or what do you think?

i aggree that a big modern cruiseliner would be great but i would rather they opened up more of the interior of the ships there already are. then if you get bored whilst sailing you could explore the ship instead of wandering away then coming back after half an hour lol :) it would be sooo gud if you could walk around some of the inside of the titanic for instance
