I have tried but it is a game that no bosy uses live on, it searches and searches and never finds any games open.

Well, in that case, give it some time, the game has only just been released, so i suppose it will take time to develop.

Hey everyone. For those of you with a Pc. Try the demo... http://dsc.discovery.com/fansites/deadliestcatch/game/alaskan-storm/alaskan-storm.html

Nathan just told me that when he downloaded it, it came up saying it contained viruses? or is this just a false alarm?

My dad specializes in the internet and I asked him about it and we've tried everything and there is nothing we can do about it, it's redircting us to another page but not fully.  Enough that if you use a more advanced downloaded you get that page's broken HTML. :-\

If anyone is trying to buy the game for PC, DONT, its not even worth lookin at, crappy graphics and gamewise its not much better, download the demo and you know enough.
Be warned before you spent youre money on it.

I'm pretty happy with it for a brand new game, and the proper game should be better, thats my opinion anyway, but i do agree in a certain way, that the graphics aren't fantastic in some areas, but this is the demo and its only a new game.

Here is some screens from the demo i downloaded:

Graphics look the same except for the wake, it looks to be just a texture like in ship sim, on here it is 3D and you can actually jump your wake if you turn around.

Same with the computer version that's what I love about the water simulation in this game vs. Ship Sim.

Yeah and when you hit a wave and it goes onto your bow, it dosn't look fake like ship sim it actually kind of "gets out of the way" and makes a big SPLASH. :p

This is due to the way the game works instead of the boat just setting in the water at a certan position like its on rails. The boat actualy puts a indent in the water and has no water in it like a real boat.

No, there are missions, what would you do in free roam? I mean there is a "career" where you go plot were to set pots and stuff. Not sure what you would do in free roam?

Make a new career and do what ever. You don't even have to hire a crew. :p

if you realy need to download this is how i did it after 7 times, installed DAP (download accelerator) and started download, it took 3 times before i had 436.19 MB  thats what you need to install the demo, if you have more or less, the thing wont start or ends in the middle.

I hope this will help somewhat.
