Is it just me or do these moderators have too much time on their hands? Going around trying to justify there positions by blockading ones will of free speech. Most of us are adults here yet they have the nerve to speak to you as if you were their child. I will continue to say what is on my mind and express my opinions in any way I feel is necessary if it's here or on the www itself and if my topics or replies end up in argument or debate so what. Is this forum communist or something? What are they going to do lock your post or polls. Scary stuff huh...

over moderators are descent and fair peoples like everyone here and do only moderate that as nessesery, if you feel the spike childes that's your problem, they are nice peoples helping us out if we haw problems and do  speak to us that way we understand and block dirty talk or if i cal you a "stupid" guy, I'm sure they will block that word  we will haw a clean and a forum as nice and dissent and not a forum  field up of dirty speaking and f word.

Well yes, that's there job, keeping us all happy and friendly (Or at least some of us)

All other forums i know of have moderators. They're needed a lot in some cases.

I could understand if someone was using foul language, racist, or discriminatory remarks and things of that nature. But when we are simply in a debate, getting points across or expressing opinions there is no need for intervention.

Perhaps if you were to learn how to spell and to construct grammatically correct sentences, they would be less likely to assume that you are a child. Those are certainly skills you will have to acquire if you have any hope of obtaining a Master’s ticket from a maritime academy of any standing.
The childish belief that you can display intelligence simply by finding fault with things is also a sign of immaturity. If you were to make one positive contribution to this forum, that might help to change the negative impression you have made on many of us.

Moderators follow each topic caefully (I'm sure you'll find one start discussing in this topic soon) and will only intervene if they feel it is needed.

In the "Debut of the Shipyard" topic you created Terry offered to keep the topic open if the unpleasentness stopped. The only person i saw unpleasentness coming from was you.

This isn't exactly polite. Ok, so it's your opinion, but there was no need for the hint of rudeness towards other players, especially the ones who prefer the smaller vessels.

So there you say you don't mind if the topic is closed but now you are upset because the moderator intervenes.

He is probably the most fair mod of the lot! There job is to keep the forum running smoothly and maintain friendliness. If you come with a positive attitude, you are very likely to get a better attitude back.

So really, just be friendly in the first place, but if you are complaining or whatever, do it "professionally"

No no no, you see the difference is, when you are "expressing" your opinion, you do it the wrong way, you come accross to be very ignorant, i will be honest with you. Because i know myself, if you don't quit the attitude with the moderators, you won't be here much longer.

They do a great job here and if you aren't happy with them, (and you seem the only one) then that is your problem, they aren't going back down first.

Moderators are here for a reason, as stated in the forum rules:

Moderation
On this forum we have moderators. However, the moderators cannot be everywhere and see everything. If you see something that is against the forum rules, please report it to the moderators by pushing the 'report to moderator' button (located beneath each post). Note that the moderators have the final say-so in any situation. They will evaluate the situation on a case-by-case basis and take appropriate action where needed.

What Is A Moderator?
Moderators are volunteers who generously give their time to help board users with questions about our sites and boards. They also are the peacekeepers and are here to ensure that all visitors enjoy their stay. This means enforcing the forum rules.

What Do Moderators Do?
Moderators monitor forum posts and respond to complaints to keep the forum free of undesirable content. They enforce the board rules, and can delete posts, edit posts and more. If a moderator lets you know you are close to crossing the line, take heed of the warning. This could mean you are close to a temporary or permanent ban.

We are here to maintain the balance on the forum, posting an opinion is perfectly fine (goes without saying really ), but there are boundaries that these opinions can exceed.  This is when we will step in and take action, when necessary.

We are not all-knowing though, and we're only human.  If you feel that a Moderator has acted unjustly, then follow the forum rules for stating as such, it's what these rules are in-place for

What If I Disagree With A Moderator?
Moderators are not perfect and are only human. Disagreements occur. Try to communicate with them first on a respectful level and settle your disagreement. If you do not agree with a decision, you are not entitled to start a thread arguing about the verdict or flaming any of the moderators. Any such messages will be removed. This extends to Private Messages and email as well, and you are not entitled to insult moderators via any of these methods.

If you feel a verdict is unfair, please contact a forum administrator (preferably Wout). Inform them about the whole situation.

they are hear to keep the forum clean of rude language remeber some people are adults but also some are kids and people must use langage that is ok of kids also people who tyr to promote other games or themselfs
