Aliens, Shmaliens, its a pile of Rubbish, i mean common' where is there evidence? and besides even if there was "evidence" i'd still have my doubts as to whether this whole alien thing is real. I think that there MAY be other life in another Solar System we have not yet found, but in the future, i think we will come accross something, or something will find us......but for now-I don't believe in "Aliens" but i believe there may be another forum of life in another solar system.

Jack.
p.s. that post was copied from what i said in your other topic that wasn't about aliens, so since this is about aliens, i thought i might as well post that, just slightly changed.

Look at it this way, if aliens do exist, surely there would be some evidence that someone would have found since then. There is no reason for the army to say there is no such things as aliens and that it was a water baloon unlesss it was a top secret baloon, it wouldn't bother me if the Government told me aliens do exist. If it was really aliens, maybe the Government didn't want to say anything incase the public got scared, but i think that is what they were playing on to be honest.

Like my favorite quote from the movie "Contact":

Some of you might have seen my post about Tunguska, I like Tesla and all but I personally think that was a UFO crash. :-\

Yes, I too believe in extraterrestrial life. There would not be just this one little planet with life, in this expanding, huuuuuuge Universe. There is life out there, no doubt.

But are 'they' humanoid? Are they like us? Are they capable of traveling many lightyears and have they or do they visit our planet?  That's a whole other thing.

Many sightings are bogus. Only a few hold some merit. And even then, you would think there would be more solid evidence. So yeah I also believe that certain top secret military inventions or developments benefit from this cover story.

There are theories (a bookcase full of them) about aliens that have visited our planet in the past. Cave drawings, clay tablets, with very interesting things on them.

for instance, there's been 4000 year (give or take a while) old clay tablets discovered in the middle east, from the time of the Summerian people, that have a rudimentary schedule of our solar system drawn on them, including all the planets. So that means Pluto aswell. But WE only discoverd Pluto in the 1930's.

So how did the people back then know about the existance of this planet? Puzzling, if you ask me.  :)

100,000,000,000 (Billion) Stars in our galaxy.
128,000,000,000 Galaxies out their. Some scientists believe that could be as high as 500,000,000,000 (Half a Trillion).
In my opinion, to say that Aliens don't exist is the same as saying that there's no such thing as Gravity. Just because we can't see it, doesn't mean it isn't there! I only hope that we get to find out sometime within the next 50 years (possibly more, touch wood ;)).

There's life (Jim), but (perhaps) not as we know it.

Yes, that was my point above, but i think anything else must be in another solar system, as there is no way life can exist on any other planets in ours, simply because we are in the right position, any other planets are either too hot, or too cold. So in my personal opinion, when we can get to other solar systems (if there are any) we will find something.

Well, Mars might be - or at least have been - able to sustain life. The big brained guys still debate that one.

The only problem with Mars is radiaton, mostly.

And if it were only some radioactive amoebas, it'd still be life.   ;D

Hiya all :)

Interesting topic ;)

I have opinions too, of course.  I don't believe in all this so-called 'evidence' that appears occasionally, mainly because it's all grainy photo's, or 'way out there' reports.  Why hasn't anyone thought of taking a 10MP digital camera with them?  It's always some shots from what looks like a 60 year old camera ::)

I believe that life on other planets is defimitely possible, but I don't think we'll see it in my lifetime.  Maybe in another 100 years or so, but not yet ;)

Saying that though, some of the people that I've met over the years, the Men In Black movies may have been right.............they're already here :P ;)

If you look closely at one of the TV screens in their HQ you will see that the beloved American news caster "Al Roker" is too an ET.

for instance, there's been 4000 year (give or take a while) old clay tablets discovered in the middle east, from the time of the Summerian people, that have a rudimentary schedule of our solar system drawn on them, including all the planets. You didn't happen to read "The Twelfth Planet" did you Fred?

This book has some great evidence of ETs visiting us in anchent time to help us form out world. They came in ships called "Shem"s wich to the best translation "Were large oblonged towers which were pointed at the top, When the 'shem' whould leave the planet it would emit a huge amount of hot gas from four cones at the bottom."

What does this sould like to you. :-\

Also they have flying vehicles that look too much like a 1900 prop aircraft,  And what more, they had to where bulb like helmets at all times - these looked like the helmets from our Apollo Missions.

Heya llamalord,

Yes I did in fact read stuff by, and about, Sitchin. Aswell as watch some very interesting documentaries about his books and ideas. Very nice stuff and a lot of food for though.

Some of the things he has said and written might be debunked as being "conveniently interpreted" as with so many things in this field , but other findings, and physical evidence, like the stone tablets with information on it that these people back then could never have had, are quite intruiging indeed.

And these Summerian clay tablets are just one of many example's of strange things that archeologists have found in the past, that are "out of place", so to speak.

So although I am very sceptic about it, these are things to make one wonder....   ;D
