Hi everybody!
Yes, the Queen Victoria is the second ship with this name, but the first never sailed under Cunard's flag. This ship is called "Arcadia" today. The biggest difference between the two ships is the size:
The "Arcadia" has
84.000 tonns, the "Queen Victoria" is with
90.000 tonns a bit bigger.
One of the biggest differences you can see is the lift at the side of Arcadia. It's the black thing behind the first lifeboats. The QV has more rooms instead of this panorama-lift.
Cunard decided to order a new ship, after the Queen Mary had become so famous. That is why they sold the ship to P & O. They are both member of the Carnival-Group, so it wasn't a big problem.
Unfortunately the QV isnt' a real Transatlantik-Cruiser
She isn't the nicest ship in the world, but there are a lot worse!
I find it a pity that she hasn't her own design, it was taken over by Fincantieri-Style.
