I'm pleased.
« on: July 15, 2008, 20:30:59 »

Hi everyone,

It seems like the number of rammings has decreased quite a lot, this may be just for me but i think it may be for other people as well. I remember one time that i could be rammed 2 or 3 times in a day, but now, i haven't been rammed in a long time. This may be due to the fact that rammers don't have the Furie (as i'm on my Furie Server with friends a lot). But its been a long time since i have had to fill out a ramming report so it looks like the rules system is standing its ground, i'd like to thank all the moderators for dealing with the ramming reports i have sent since i have been here (last one i sent was a long time ago) and i'm sure i speak for much of the community here. And i'd like to thank friends for taking pictures/evidence against rammers in the past. I'd be lost without the nice community here. Thanks everyone.

Ship Simulator is moving in the right direction.

There is one reason the rammings have slowed down.

hmmm, well, get the right person to tow you and you shouldn't have any problems (in some cases lag does happen). But the trouble is, it can be hard to find someone who has had much experience with Towing large ships in and out of ports, i always used to tow ships and i still do now, i used to be "based" in Marseille and when latitude's and Vermaas's needed to be towed in and out of North or South entrance i would help them, there was many a time when we would have to have a seperate harbour master (as i used to be harbour master regulary as well as towing people in and out and mooring them) because i was so busy, ships used to litrally queue up by the entrances waiting for me to "do my thing" and to tow them in and moor them. Then when they wanted to go out (say half an hour later) i would go back and swing them around to face the right way, stop the incoming ships and take the ship out, it was like if the amount of ships wanting to go in and out was big, i would do rotation so that say (depending on the amount of ships) i could do half an hour towing people in, and half an hour towing them out, then in some cases if ships were in need of help outside the port i would go and help them quickly and stop the incoming and outgoing traffic until the person in need of assistance was helped.

yes i remember times where there have been a line of 5 or 6 vermass waiting to get into port and there are many good towers out there but also there are many people that dont know what they are doing or get in the way more than they help
