I was doing a mission today in SH3 and i had to sink 2 troop ships that were traveling across the ocean at high speeds.And this is what happens when a submarine encounters with 2 armed troop ships. They both took under half an hour to sink at the bow.

look very simerler to the brittanic that sunk in ww1 allthougt brittanic was in hospital colours has white star colours

Hi Third Mate, yes it's a great game! are you a member of Subsim?

If so you probably know me!

Here is one of VonDos's ships, I think it was the Queen Mary, being used at the time as a troop transport, 3 torpedoes and down she went, I felt guilty when she went down, looked a little too realistic, I got a heavy pounding with depth charges then!

Yes you take command of a U-Boat in the "Battle of the Atlantic" in WW2, very realistic, in the latest version UBI has removed the Starforce protection so there is none, the price now is under $20 here in Australia, there are so many mods & the latest downloadable supermod is Gray Wolves, (GWX 2.1), though it is over a gig in size, if anyone purchases the game & wants to know more just PM me and/or join Subsim.com, here are some more pics:

Great news, i found out what the ship was called.it was called HMT Aquitania or RMS and she was launched in the 1914. http://www.geocities.com/swsodspickly/aquit3.jpg, and you are right it was part of Cunard line.

hey, how did you get the officers to wear hats? in my game with GWX 2.1 they dont wear any....

That's unusual, you should come to a screen with an advertisement, click to continue to a list of games that I modded, click on the Silent Hunter III link, this should take you to a list marked "Reecek's Files" you can either click on the mods name, or on the right should be a "download now" button, if you have any problems just give me a list of the ones you are interested in & I will give a direct link here, I will post one for the GWX Sound effects pack (45meg):

Some of the others are marked as 8k & 16k atmosphere, the stock 1.4b game is 8k & GWX has 8k standard or 16k as an option, you have to make sure of the version you are using, it is advisable to use JSGME mod enabler tool as it is easy to then enable a mod or disable it!

Be sure otherwise to backup existing files first, here is the 8K atmosphere mod:

and the 16k:

Thanks Reece they are really amazing :Di got a few just engouh so it can make the game 100% more acruate, i like them alot i just wondering that mod "random explosions" it says to put the "random" folder in the "SH3 Folder" but i looked everywhere but i could not find it, any clue whre it might be?

You are probably referring to the depthcharge sounds located in the Documentation folder, these are to go into the SH3 Commander random folders, if your not using SH3 Commander then just let it go, if you like any of them better than the default one in the mods data\Sound folder just copy over it.

Any help or advise just let me know here or send a private message.

Hey Reece,

I wand to ask you for some help.There is this submarine, type IXD2 and she is my favorite to.I have 2 bugs with this sub.1 is that the connection steel rope connecting to the bow is not long enough and it has a small gap and it looks very unrealistic, secondly a piece that meant to be attached to the top of the conning tower is sticking out in the right side of the vessel and it looks very bad.Can you please make some sort of patch specially for this vessel so it can fix these 2 things, i cannot put up with theses things much more, this sub looks so big and beautiful, and for once i would like to see it normal, i mean what does everyone have against my favorite sub

Sounds like a mixup with boat Dats, this is not my area of expertise, I will try to help but you would be better posting a thread in Subsims SHIII mods section, please tell me the version of SHIII your using and all the mods you have installed, also do you use JSGME?

I have tried postiong it but, they just said to reinstall the game, but i have tried that and it had no effect.MY verison is 1.4 and i am using the following mods in order:

GWX
VICC41 player sub
Open hatch mod
late war sensors snorkel antennas
intergraded orders
enchanted damage effects
axix medditeran aircaft skins

Normal/ nature related
landscape mod
tree mod

english nav map and grid refs

Yes, i did use JSGME mod enabler.
