Just For Fun....Save the Tuna!!
« on: July 04, 2008, 22:17:41 »

Everyone worries about catching dolphins in the nets of the tuna fishermen.....but there is another victim here. Green Peas International thinks it's time to call attention to the plight of our fish friends. Yeah we don't want to desroy any dolphins for sure but WHAT ABOUT THE TUNA!!

The .dds file has been zipped for you to download and use.

Enjoy,

It is SS06, but you can use it in SS08. There are topics on the forum that tell you how.
Glad you were amused, that was my intention, but I still like tuna.

If you did the default install to SS08, extract it any where you like then make a folder called XXXTuna here: C:\Program Files\Vstep\ShipSim2008\Actors\Objects\Harbour Patrol .....(XXX will be a number, notice SS08 will have three folder beginning with 001, 002, 003; make your's something like 999Tuna) then copy the .dds file to here. When you design your own missions, you can include this boat.

Do you never read classic books? There is nothing wrong with classic forum posts too.

Or maybe anything over one week old is no longer relevant? ::)

Hi Stuart,
I have read some of the classic books but I wouldn't re-publish one just so I can add 'that is really great' on the last page.  :)
What needs to be relevant is the comment.
Daniel Cho for instance, is asking how to apply the reskin. That is relevant.

Dave, Perhaps your comment would be more appropriate addressed to Captain Jonah

No, it wouldn't be, as he's just adding a compliment, i wouldn't have a problem if he was asking where to get it or how to make a reskin, but its just plain ridiculous to wake up a topic just to add "Good job" or "I like it".

Why must you always say something against my posts, whenever i say something, your always replying with a snide remark, telling me im wrong, or something, and its not just you, a lot of people have been doing that to me lately...My only question is why? Your just told the same thing by somebody else a couple of minutes later, or else they trash me too....

No one is 'trashing' you.

Is it REALLY a crime for someone to open an old topic to add a compliment? What is the problem with Mr JCM opening an old topic? It has spurred Mr Choo to ask questions, so it hasn't exactly been wasted now has it?

Dave,
Daniel Choo would not have asked the question had it not been for Mr JMC opening the topic back up again. Perhaps if it is a taboo to open an old topic, there needs to be clear guidelines on it.

Its not exactly humor, when your insulting people, suggesting somebody is stupid, or exaggerating things to the max, like this:

Or maybe anything over one week old is no longer relevant? ::)

The last post of this topic was in July 08, and last time i checked, that wasn't a week. I don't care if you see it as humor, i don't, it really makes me angry....

Hi all,
I have to say that this has gone way off the topic.

Kapn Jonah responded to a post that was 12 minutes old and he made a comment;
Another one, this one nearly a year old?  :-\
The post he was talking about was about one year after the last post in this topic. There is nothing wrong with his comment.
There is nothing wrong with waking up old topics as long as there is a purpose to it and it adds something to the discussion.
If Daniel Cho was interested in reskins then he could have used 'Search' to find topics about it.

This is not small talk! This is an area for constructive input, not sarcasm.
I do not expect to see any more posts in this topic unless it is relevant to the original topic.

If you are unhappy about anything I have said in this post then please PM me.

Regards, Dave
