Yes, i hope it appears so it can give me a new challange with a range of tugs i can use ;)

and i have a funny feeling the Clyde Puffer may make an appearance there also. Which i can't wait for if it is to come.

What is the Berge Stahl?

The Berge Stahl has been modeled for a while now and many are hoping for her to turn up in SS2008

"The MS Berge Stahl is the largest bulk carrier ship in the world. She is registered in Stavanger, Norway. She was previously registered in Monrovia, Liberia.

Iron Ore Bulk Carrier Berge Stahl. An iron ore carrier, the Berge Stahl has a capacity of 364,767 metric tons of deadweight (DWT) she was built in 1986 by Hyundai Heavy Industries. The Berge Stahl is 1,122 feet (343 m), has a beam, or width, of 208.3 feet (65 m), and a draft, or depth in the water of 23 m"

This would make her the largest ship in SS2008 and certainly a challenge, as her depth of 23m means it's almost impossible to get her into any harbour in the game!

Perhaps not in the present ShipSim, but she docks at the EECV terminal in R’dam. She loads at Ponta da Madeira, Brazil. I think those are the only two ports in the world she can enter.
Marty

The water depth along the EECV-quay is 24 meters (74 feet). On its round trip to Brazil, the world’s largest dry bulk carrier, the Berge Stahl (364,767 DWT), calls at Rotterdam once every five weeks. Taking advantage of the port’s modern transhipment equipment, this ship is fully discharged in just four to five days. About fifty percent of the ore transhipped in Rotterdam comes from Brazil; most of the other half originates from Canada and Australia, with smaller loads coming in from South Africa and Sweden.

Nice ship but looks very big again.  Will it be able to sail shipsim's environments? and will we ever get some decent medium sized ships?
