Hello,

i play ss08 for a whil but it suck to play with my keybord, so i am looking for a joystick or some other thing, is there somebody who know a good and cheep one, or other thing?

Hi .

I use a joystick.

Mine is a Logitech Attack 3 .
Its works fine for me. and was relatively cheap Â£20 i think.

i use a logitech steering wheel & contol the engine with a mouse.

this works realy well.

a wheel will cost about Â£40.

I've just ordered LEGO: Indiana Jones though, so I'll be keeping myself busy with that for now

Might have a long time to wait, it says it will be ready for SS06!! If they haven't met that deadline then they might not be ready before SS08 is replaced by SS09!!

By the time I had had my beer it was around 2245 and there was no one around on any server at all!! I don't know where everyone gets to these days, maybe it's the long warm, sunny evemings that keeps people away.

I also sometimes hook up my old Microsoft Sidewinder and use two sticks. This setup works great for the car ferry.

i use a logitech joystick,however, i would rather play with the mouse and keyboard because when the joystick is in the upright middle position, there is still speed and rudder degrees applied to the ship. i suggest that you stick with theb mouse and keyboard

i dont see the point of a wheel as somtimes i make long shallow turns that somtimes take 20/30 minitets as i turn slowly once out to sea

i have a wheel aswell, but i think that you would be better of using it with smaller, faster ships, it can become very tricky and frustrating when it comes to vessels like the Pride of Rotterdam and Vermaas

well small ships you are never going to be doning a long trip so that would help but large ships you need somthing that dose not return to the center when you let go

Joys & wheels...

Any boat or ship got one of these so if you have a controller that looks like like one of these it all should be OK.

BTW, also a MS Sidewinder user...love that joy

I've always found it kind of funny that all the throttles in stern-drive and out-board boats are called "Remote Controls"

It took me a while to figure it out but then it hit me. $:-\$

If it wasn't remote then you would be sitting back there with the engine pushing the RPM knob.
