why the hec* is Ship Simulator 2008 on their site?

Auran has always advertised Ship Simulator, from the 2006 version. They are usually the last ones on the planet to stock it.
The “Gold” release is scheduled for 10 July, and includes both Ship Simulator 2008 and New Horizons for only $70 (Oz bucks), plus postage.

That's funny you should bring that up today, Today I was shopping for TRAINZ Classics 1&2 after a horrible crash that caused TRAINZ 2006 to stop working forever_{Don't ask, Just blame Auran} and I was going to write in with the same question.

Hi, I have Trainz 2004 & 6, actually purchased from Auran, they were very active with Trainz 2004, but slowly died out! The Auran symbol is on the Ship Simulator 2008 box, but going to Auran site & trying to find Ship Simulator 2008 yields nothing let alone the expansion, now you say they have the Gold edition there, does their symbol still appear on the box & if so I wonder what part they have in the game?

I’ve been with Trainz from early days and have seen SS06 on their web from time to time, but Aussies whom I have steered there seem not to have much luck buying it from them.

They now show the 2008/NH Gold combo for release on 10 July.

Things were bleak for Auran when they went into Chapter 11 after an unsuccessful foray into on-line multiplayer for pay. Trainz was limping along with drastically reduced staff and an iffy future.
Now Tony Hilliam is back at the helm with funding to develop a new Trainz Simulator 2009 platform.

Thanks Marty, that's good to know, the big limitation with Trainz was no multiplay, didn't take long to get bored, if Trainz 2009 has multiplay I'll purchase it!

They should of changed the cover for that Gold edition, the PoR, Pioneer and Freedom 90 are all 1.3 or lower vessels, they should at least include an NH vessel on the cover

That's the funny part I went there to shop for the expansion but gave up & purchased else where!  I don't think they are doing so well, hopefully Trainz 2009 will bring it back to life!

yes agreed. i only got Auran Trainz Ultimate Collection and not the best Train Game ive tried
