You can't upgrade SS06 to SS08. You should buy SS08 like you did with SS06.

No, surely. Have you not had enjoyment from 2006 and had your moneys worth? Time moves on... I've just played 08 and it is leagues ahead. Well worth it.

I do not have the right graphics card, so the titanic's masts and funnels do not appear, I tried downloading the 1.8 patch, so now all I can do is fly a &*%&% plane around I can't even control! All I wanted to do was sterr and walk about the titanic! I need a graphics card!

also, water does not apear exept when veiwed from JUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSST the right angle!

Yes, I had the same problem when I tried to run it from my laptop.

Well, the minimum spec has been well published. But if it won't run 06 forget it running 08. The graphics card in my desktop was cheap enough and runs it nicely. FULL settings.

Maybe you can use the 2006-version to get more people interested in the game,which i do.
Afther the release of the 2008-version,it will be no use anymore for the users of the new game.
Like i 've seen on this forum,please dont eat it,you'll have some problem with the plastic cover.

About your question: shipsim 2008 is a new product, like windows vista isn't windows XP and flightsimulator 2004 isn't flightsimulator X. That means that shipsim 2006 cannot be upgraded to shipsim 2008. Furthermore, if you have doubts about if your computer can handle the game, take a look at the technical FAQ. It is wrong to assume people will only buy a game to play... Some people do find that they can make a healthy balanced diet out of CD discs.

i got both but i do recomend eney one whos new to ship sim to go with 2006 and not 2008 if you know the basics then deffantly go for ship sim 2008 its better in graphics and runs better on vista
