Help.
« on: May 30, 2008, 20:20:15 »

??? Hi there! I'm sorry if i have posted this in the wrong place, but I have question. I see all these people designing ships and showing them off, which is great. I wouldn't mind having a go myself. However, when it comes to producing the hull, the smoothed curved shapes, I'm completely hopeless at it. At the moment I only have google sketchup, and I was wandering if anyone could help me out with a few hints and tips. As a last note, if anyone knows a better freeware 3D design program, would it be possible if you mentioned it?

Kind regards, KJP001

What i do to make a hull, is to make a number of, well "bulk heads" is the best way to describe them (see pic), they have to variate in shape ofcouse depending on what you want your hull to look like, then you join them up with the straight like tool.

I have never actually used it. But you don't want me to make a model. Trust me. It would come out looking like destruction.
