Google Sketchup help- Don't want prisms

I'm trying to place triangular barriers between balcony segments on a cruise ship I'm making up in Google Sketechup (with truley astronomical proportions (6,000'×600'×600')), but it keeps making triangular prisms! Can anyone help?

Make sure that you have activated your account
