where to berth the Red Eagle?
« on: April 23, 2008, 04:58:11 »

Where in SS are there spaces made for berthing ferries like the Red Eagle? And are there any other areas you know of that weren't made for this purpose but just happen to fit?

In Southampton and in Cowes in the Solent area..

You could dock it at the two available linkspans in Rotterdam.. Although there arn't a 2nd ramp for the 2nd car deck..

Though it isn't suppose to go there there is also a ferry point in New York Near the Statue of Liberty which the ferries including P&O fit quite nicely in

I must say, I'd love it if someone could post some pictures of the Ferry ports/Moorings, and give descriptions of where they are in the game. I know the Red Eagle's ones, but I've no idea about the Red Jet's (I also know the PoR's in Rotterdam).

Not all of the Red Funnel terminals are in the game.

The current High Speet Terminal (Terminal 2) at Southampton is not!

No it is not.  The berth you refer to is the current lay up berth for out of service vessels.  It USED to be the high speed terminal when they used hydrofoils and up to the introduction of RJ1 & 2.  They then moved to the current location.

Hi Nathan.

If it's a JPG (and it should be), you need to increase the compression level when you save the image (or reduce the quality level - same thing).  That makes the file smaller. A program like Paintshop Pro (and most of the others) will let you do that when you save the image.

I use Microsoft Picture Manager  ;)

The problem has happened below, i was trying to upload pictures from another game, GT Legends, and even when i compressed the pictures they were too big. So i tried o reduce the size. Even when the picture was 200x200 it was over 80kb (the limit for the site i was uploading to), a useless size
