ROTLFLMAO @ the cat wallpapers!!!!
Here's the wallpaper of my all-time favourite ferry, Caledonian MacBrayne's
Glen Sannox. A fine and traditional looking vessel, unlike the modern ones nowadays whick looks like a block of high rise flats!
Ironically when
Glen Sannox entered service in 1957, people were so taken aback by her radical design and appearance that she had a fair share of critics, the most unkind comment about her was "a bath tub with a tenement for ballast ".
However as years went on new ferries entering service become more uglier and so people started to appreciate
Glen Sannox's 'traditional look' and she became one of the most popular and much-loved ferries ever to serve the Clyde and Western Isles. Nearly 20 years after she was sold out of the fleet (in 1989), people still talk about her, lamenting the passing of time when shipyards built handsome ships with graceful lines.
