Different language I think. Looking at Diamant's flag (whether it's accurate is another thing) then it's probably Russian :)

No, Sale was agreed on Saturday, to a Chap in Scotland (Nice guy, I'm pleased she's going to him).

I didn't want Mary to go, but, dad says she's just too slow for around here. That's the main thing. :-\

She went yesterday.

Hi Matt,

She's a Colvic Watson 24 Motor Cruiser (If that makes any sense to you ;D Look it up on Google). Built in 1982, by Colvic Marine, she's actually one of the Only Colvic 24's in the UK to have No rigging from the building Date.

CaptainSpencer: Yes, I suppose something faster is better for around here :)

DIAMANT: Yep, all strapped down, ready to go. Dad checked everything himself too, since he's an Ex. Transporter himself.

Also, I'm pleased to report that Mary has safely arrived in Scotland, and is already in the water. Gordon is very pleased with her!

So, in a way, I'm pleased that she's back on the water now, where she belongs

Hi Jack,

Glad to hear Mary Elizabeth is going to a good home. Hope I'm not being too cheeky, but whereabouts in Scotland is she going? (you don't have to give me the exact location).

I live in a town in the Inverclyde area which is only a stone's throw from the River Clyde and we always get lots of ships and boats in all shapes & sizes coming in. The river is very popular with yachts & pleasure cruisers so if that's where she is going, then there might be a chance I'll see her.

Hi Jack,

That's really nice, so no doubt I will see your old boat out and around one day.

The River Clyde is going through a big change; most of the heavy industries such as shipyards has now gone (there are now 3 left; one in Port Glasgow & 2 in Glasgow), so the powers-that-be had decided it's a good idea to tap into the marine recreation side of things, and many marinas has appeared over the last decade or two, boosting the local economy by welcoming boat users.  :2thumbs:

You'll enjoy the River Clyde - it's not what it was once before, due to the decline in shipyards but the variety of boats and ships that still use it today will keep things interesting. (I hope! lol )

Hi Kev,

That would be nice! let me know if you see her about. You'll be sure to hear her, with that 2.2 Sabb that's in her, that's for sure  (bup bup bup bup :D).

Ahhh I see, I think quite a lot of the industrial side of things has gone out the window everywhere in the UK. Though at least, they are making use of the space that's there. I've heard that most of the marina's that are being put in are filling very quickly around Scotland?

I'm looking forward to going, It'll be nice to see Mary again, as well as getting to know the local area.
