Problems with controls
« on: July 08, 2007, 08:14:30 »

Just a few observations about difficulties controlling ships:

1.  I tried setting up my logitech joypad (which I used in shipsim2006 without problems) and found that you have to keep the sticks held in position to steer or throttle.  In SS2006 it would increase or decrease throttle/rudder when you moved the sticks (and one of the buttons recentered them).

Using shift (or programming a button) for precission steering works unless I try to steer left.  Pressing the pressision steering button then always resets the rudder to -3 degrees of rudder.

2.  I used to be able to pan around using the joypad, this no longer works.

3.  When using the mouse to control a ship with more than one rudder (p&o ferry for example) the wheel only turns one of the rudders.
