i want to free roam to the oil platform ... where do i find it and/or start from?

Well, there is no oil rig in free raoming. Maybe we get some later this year for example within the Bergen-North Sea area, but until then, you have to create your own little mission with rig and ship..

Actually there is an oil rig in free roaming, it's in the map "Bergen North Sea"

If you start at the East of the map you should be able to see it close by.

Hi Liotta,
There are some custom missions that involve the oil platform. You should be able to find one in the custom download list in SS. When my morning coffee kicks in, I’ll look for it and post the name here.
Even though it is a mission, you can just ignore the waypoints and do your own thing.
Or, as Michael said, you can use the mission editor to make your own free roam environment.
