It's very strange,that a matter of flying tankers,can get into smiley things.

It is very difficult to be serious when talking about flying tankers and other ships. Other than "sometimes a ship will appear to fly, presumably due to a programming error somewhere", what else can be said that is on topic? We have to be able to have at least one light-hearted thread on this forum.

I'd hope that there will be a lot of Lattitude in this matter in ths thread. (Joe King!)

That WAS a tanker joke. "Lattitude"? Sorry if it was too complex, but I understood it.

Anyway, apart from "yeah, seen a tanker fly", what else can be said?

And I don't think that threatening people who are just having some fun is very useful. Like all threads, this one said all that was useful quite quickly and then drifted into general chatter before it finally crumbles and dies. Why the surprise about "your" thread?

The RAF recently signed a deal for large aerial tankers for the new 'Typhoon/Eurofighter'. The battle was to be between Airbus and Boeing for the contract.

Maybe there is a new contender...
