I love tug boats but today I had a rough time with the tugs on this sim
I made my self up on one gamers container ship with the small tug on his stern on the starboard side  and I could not pull him.   then on my first day it was ok but then some other idiot rammed me and my boat sank  :'(  and my hawser was still on the container ship...  pushing has to be done very carefully because you can damage the other ship's hull. I had to tell one guy online to ease her boat in when we where doing an assist because he was just ramming the hell out of the other ship, which eventually took on water and sunk almost took me with him, good thing I let my line go. lol..   but its a funny game, nice to play and practice.

To play online? Yes you need to own the game.  It's an option in the main menu for Multiplayer.

I have the game now but not the patch :'(

You can grab the patch here:
http://www.shipsim.com/downloads/patches.php

To patch the retail version, you can grab the V1.0 - V1.3 patch.

But to use the online content of this game, you have to register your license key in your forum profile too.
Just scroll down until you see the license key registration box and fill it in there.

Apply the V1.0 to V1.3 patch and then you are all set to play online.
(provided you also have an ingame pofile made, other than the default one)

Regards,
Fred

Fairmont Sherpa...I am using this to tug the OS into a harbour and moor it. I am not sure what this control does though? I did try the free play, but still have no idea what it does. The only thing I can think of is controlling the ropes perhaps? Unsure. Help appreciated.

Lynn

Hi
The stick you are pointing to is for both of the Water jets to put out fires if
you look underneath there is a pic with the  2 cannons click on them to start
stop water.

Hello Lynn,

The SSE manual can offer some amount of guidance. It seems to slip past most users that the manual has been automatically installed on the computer when installing SSE.

Please see attachment which shows the path which leads to the User Manual.
