Jahre Viking is alive and well in Virtual Sailor. Sebu made a an amazing model of it but did not get the Ok from the owners then to distribute it. Just a few of us lucky ones got it. Now that ship is sitting on Gadani beach in pieces so I guess it does'nt matter anymore. By the way the ship was sold and renamed Knock Nevis as a moored distribution ship in the Gulf. Finally she was sold again and renamed Mont and made her last voyage to the breakers. If you have VS and want it, let me know.
A ship like this is not very useful in VS or SS. I have both. As far as I know she never visited Europe laden, except LeHavre which had a special port/berth made for really big tankers.
Goax has made an terrific model of bulker Berge Stahl but I hear is having trouble getting the owners ok to release it. Modellers out there should do this first before spending vast amounts of time building a replica of actual ships. I think the Owners worry that terrorists can simulate ways to destroy these ships. It happened to Jahre Viking in the Gulf War.
Except for Solent, SS seems to leave out the tanker terminals with the discharge towers. LA has the pier but does not have any discharge apparatus. There is a big tanker terminal there.
