Release dates.
« on: June 23, 2007, 08:48:03 »

To inform the new users a little bit more and the rest of the forum users about the realease dates I would like to make one topic with all release dates (instead of 5 for each user).

That would be much easier for everybody.

RELEASE DATES:

Releasedates
- UK, Scandinavia, Portugal, Greece: July 13th 2007
- France, Spain, Italy: September 15th 2007
- Australia/NZ, Russia, Poland: TBD
- Germany: July 6th 2007
- USA: ?
- Canada: ?
- Australia: ?
- Benelux: ?
- Germany: ?
...

On the site of lighthouse-interactive they say ; territories:Europe minus Germany / Benelux

Could somebody please explain this to me?

And if you know more, post it in here.

I've modified my first post so that you can see all the release dates there.
(I'll do that with everybody's info in this topic.)

Greetings,
The date of release, should be more an approx date, than the real date.If something is not working fine on the game, developers and modellers need to do some extra work to make it work, before they can bring it on the market.
It's,in my point of view, better to delay this date a bit, than to recieve al the complaints of members/gamers,of the game than.
The game should be working good, that's why some of the developers are busy to try the game now,and if something gets wrong, they need the time to fix it.
Regards
Marc

I have the same oppinion than marcstrat. So this is why I have made ETA in front or my post.

A simple solution would be:  ETA (of release)

I'm not sure if you know this online market - link not visible due to avoidance of advertisment - (http://www.amazon.de) and if you use it in the benelux. But this is the "wholesaler" where I pre-ordered my copy of the game. Due to this just have a look on the site or the equivalent site in the benelux. In my opinion, pls correct my reply if I'm wrong, this is the german partner of VSTEP or Astragon which allows pre-orders.

I have a problem, I want to pre-order the game but I dont know where I should do that.
I live in Belgium and I speak Dutch, but for the Dutch version I have to wait till half in September.

I would like to pre-order the UK (English version) but I dont know where.

Can't Vstep make a buy/download site like in shipsim 2006?
That would be a lot easier.

Hey guys, not really sure what I'm doing with forums, thought you might like to know that there's a site out there taking pre-orders for SS2008 with the chance to win a remote-controlled speedboat, my friend just told me, but won't tell me which one, if you know can you tell me.

I know you haven't been a member long, but what's with all the spamming of the same post?  Please post the message once, the forum rules do explain exactly what is acceptable and what is not.

Now I'm thinking that Australia will be the last country to get the game because they always send the games to australia last. I bet Australia will probabley get it December to January now that i have realised..lol

I'm sure I read that it will be available as a download from the site... As long as you have a payment card ad a GOOD broadband...

If all goes to plan here, the German version should be released tommorow, and even though I can't speak or read a word of German, I'm still excited! ;D
