I would like to inform all the members that I have just bought and downloaded the Ship Simulator 2006 / 2008 Addon!

Also, I got a new gaming PC and Laptop that run ship simulator at a realistic speed. And bow splashes work now. As I told DJM I finally am back to liking this game. Since it is very hard to stay under control and enjoy it at 2 FPS. Anyway I can't wait for the Addon to finish downloading (55%).

So this is kind of a welcome back and saying how great the game is. I hope to write some reviews on some sites for it.

Then what did wout post about it in the news boards? He said the offer no longer exists.

I'm not sure which post you mean, Agent.

But you can still read in the official statement that the 6 SS2006 Addon vessels will be upgraded for SS2008 for free, including their missions. (IF you own the original version)

There's also more content coming, but that was never part of the SS2006 Addon in the first place, of course.

It was just that in the first post by agent Austin he said that he has just bought and downloaded the add on which made me think perhaps the add on that has been promised with the new ships etc is now on sale

I think Agent Austin meant that he has bought the SS2006 addon (the only one you can buy, as the 2008 version isn't released yet) and that he has downloaded the partial addon that was released to the owners of the SS2006 addon.

Download v1.6 too SS06, but too SS08 you have to enter you lincens key on Profile in this forum, i think, and you get a new Download link

Right, step by step

1. Go to www.shipsim.com, and go to the patches section. DOwnload the lastest SS06 patch. [1.8]
2. Register the key and your SS08 key in your profile. An orange box will appear saying you can have the addon for SS08
