definitely the Speed 2......... the action aspect is well holywoodish but anything thats happening in that film is way beyond any sailors goodnight story..  the film so rubbish its not even funny

Hollywood has a predictable habit of using ships for exciting plots.
however too much explosions actualy killed poeseidon for me.

Have to agree, all the explosions was a bit dramatic. I have to admit, it was a pretty good movie though! ;D But in some scenes the acting was a bit over-the-top. And the scene where they have to swim through the hallway was crazy, in real life you could not hold your breath for that long! :doh:

If you ask me,I'd say Poseidon 2006 is absurd.Why? look at these errors in the Movie.

TBH, I liked the 2006 Poseidon more than the mini-series Poseidon...  ::)

Oh yes- you could write a book on all the technical inaccuracies on that daft film... Flooding laundary decks (accessible by young kids), bow thrusters that work at high speed (and turn themselves off again when the cameras move away), engine decks that are inaccessible, engines with no manual fuel shut off, and the best one of all- where the ship is decelerating so quickly that it throws people to the floor, despite taking several minutes to drop about 10kts.

The Triangle (2001) a rather thrilling film but has unbearably hilarious ending when the burning big 3-stacker liner RMS Queen of Scots suddenly begins to chase the survivors...  anyone watched it?

I watched it only once.... if you ignore a 'scale model' ship  acting like a race car in the end --its a fine film of its kind

i know its not in the list but the film "battle tanker" was quite absurd. diddnt stop it being an ok film though
