when i download missions from the internet via custom mission ingame shipsim. some missions have ships that's not included in my version of shipsim08. but this i don't understand when i have version 1.3
is it possible to download ship's as an add on?
example:
in the mission -early arrival at phi phi- there's a ship called ocean star that i don't have.

You need the ships add-on for SS06. See other posts on the subject for details.

This is a very frustrtating issue for some of us in the community, but you need to have the SS06 add-on, register that in your profile than you can download the SS08 add-on. Without it, most custom missions are simply unplayable.

Hi ale_beer,

I think you are missing the point a bit, to be honest. Let me clarify the addon situation.

There WAS/IS a SS2006 addon.
There WILL BE a SS2008 addon.

So everyone will get the chance to get these vessels.

The only thing is that, as the owners of the SS2006 Addon get it for free, they have been given the chance to allready download part of the pack (only the ships).

But if you don't own the SS06 version, you will get the chance to buy the SS08 version soon, because they are working on completing that atm. Or, you could order the SS06 version and get two for the price of one. 

Once the finished project is here, all missions can be played by everyone! (IF you buy the addon of course)

The Addon is due to come out really soon. 
And Q4 means 4th Quarter of the year. So oct-nov-dec. The finished part was released to SS2006 Addon customers in Q4 and they are working really hard to complete the whole pack as we speak.
