Ship Simulator Series - New website!
« on: January 06, 2008, 03:07:23 »

Greetings,

Yes, I have launched a new website dedicated to you, the fans of Ship Simulator!

http://shipsim-series.page.tl/Home.htm

This site is not the same as Shipwrecks and I have awarded him of my site. Despite being about the same thing this site is and will be completely different! I have been working on this site since early December last year and have only finished and launched it today!

Now... Since i've got the site up and running I would love to have some website staff to help me run it. If you would like to apply for Administrator or Global moderater please contact me via contact on this website or even email me.

Bon Voyage,

Lighthouse

Why don't you register on the forum we have folks? We have the mod, and admins, but no members.

Well that's the problem, isn't it?  :D

Who should I talk with if there are no members? And who will I meet that I can't meet in here? Just a thought.

Alternative forums are most welcome, but personally I don't need another forum to discuss SS.

Exactly, and as I said, alternative forums are most welcome.  :)

But you did ask why I didn't register on the new forum and I just gave you the reason why.  ;)

Hehe, indeed you did ;D

BTW: I wasn't saying that you weren't respecting it by the way. So don't think I was saying that! ;)

A point that Jacob could have made, is that one purpose of this forum is to share important information and help in using SS and the Editor. There is the possibility that some important information would never reach the members of this forum if it was diffused over many forums.
Some of us must spend a lot of time just keeping up with what is happening on this forum and would find it difficult to monitor an additional two or more.
On the other hand, there is some stuff here that one might wish found a home elsewhere. :)

Marty

This topic is about Lighthouse's new website, it is not really nice to advertise Shipwreck's site in this topic while you guys have your own topic about your site allready. It may get confusing this way for the casual reader. So I suggest you don't recruit members for YOUR site in the thread about HIS site.

Just my thoughts..

Fred

Oh please do that!  :D I can see that PM'ing one another isn't really sufficient when lots of people want to talk about me behind my back... Then I would spoil your fun if I joined your forum - so I won't do that.  ;) ;D

Well, Shipwreck said Lighthouse could use his forum. I was saying "Yes, register on that. it's fine" sort of thing.

Looks more like recruiting members to me.  It's clearly directed to the readers of this topic, not just to Lighthouse. ;D

Oh, by the way. I'm sorry if you thought I was trying to advertise Shipwreck's forum Lighthouse. When I typed that post, I was thinking that you could use Shipwreck's. Not trying to advertise.

Sorry!

Hi,

Sorry haven't updated this topic laterly, been busy adding finishing touches to my site as well as accpeting applications for Admin. and Global Mods. on my site!

A point that Jacob could have made, is that one purpose of this forum is to share important information and help in using SS and the Editor. There is the possibility that some important information would never reach the members of this forum if it was diffused over many forums.

Yes, my site is nothing like here! I've got BIG plans! just to name a few new things on my site is that I've got a contest page. This month is picture of the month. Next month will be more contests for you to have a go at!

Some things are the same, such as a Modellers corner like here with added help for new modellers. There is also some screenshots and next moth I've got plans for a video section for user to post vids to.

I have considered using Shipwrecks forum but at this current time I am having no issues with the forum or host I've got.

BTW Ship Addict, don't sweat is fine, I know what you were trying to say ;)

Bon Voyage,

Lighthouse

It's a little strange to see the MPSS forum rules posted on another forum :P

DJM,

Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Hey we've all got to set boundries for our forums or else they'd go loopy :P
